How To Make A Triple Wick Candle
Ingredients:
• ProSoy Container Wax
• Spring Blossom and Rain Fragrance Oil
• 3 x TCR21/12
• 3 x Wick Stickums
• 55cl Candle Glass
Materials:
• Cooker or heat source to melt the wax
• Container to melt the wax in such as a double boiler or a pan inside a pan
• Pouring Jug
• Lollipop Stick Stirrer
• Thermometer
• 3 x Lollipop Stick Wick Holder
• Weighing scales
Preparation
Make sure you have a clean flat surface to work on, moving anything you don’t want to get wax on as it can get quite messy. Also, make sure you have your containers clean and wicks at the ready as the process can go a lot faster than you might initially expect.
Step 1
Weigh out your wax – for our 55cl candle glass, we are using 500g worth of container wax for this make.
Step 2
Next, add your wax to your heating pot and heat to 80°C whilst stirring gently. Do not exceed 80°C
Step 3
While your wax is melting you can prepare your wicks. Attached your wick stickums to your wicks and using our 3 wick bowl guide place each wick firmly on a dot.

Step 4 – Adding colour (optional)
Take your wax off the heat and pour your wax out of the container and into a pouring jug. Regularly check the temperature until the wax reaches 70°C. Once your wax has reached 70°C, you can add your chosen dye. Gently mix in your dye until full dispersed.
Step 5 – Adding Fragrance
Once the dye is fully dissolved you can add your fragrance oil. Carefully stir the wax whilst pouring the fragrance oil. We suggest using up to 10% fragrance oil therefore 100g of fragrance oil will fragrant 1kg of wax.
Step 6- Pouring
Now all your ingredients are mixed, with your wax between 65°C-71°C, it is time to pour the wax. Slowly pour your wax into the candle glasses leaving 1 cm from the top.
Step 7- Setting
Ensure your wicks are suspended tight and upright by using our lollipop stick wick holders and rest across the glass. Wax naturally shrinks whilst cooling, this may cause a sinkhole around the wicks, don’t panic, this is an unavoidable part of candle making. One option would be to re-pour any left-over wax after 30 minutes of your candle setting to create a smooth top or use a heat gun to remelt the top of your candle once fully set.
Step 8 -Trim The Wicks
Allow your candle to set overnight before trimming your wicks. Once your candle has set trim the wick to approx. 5mm. For optimal scent through we recommend letting your candle cure for 1-2 weeks before lighting.
Please note, this candle making guide is a general starter guide for beginners in container candle making. Variations in waxes, fragrances, and dyes can all affect the finished product, what works for some candles may not work for others.
