How to make wax melts with ParaSoy™
You will need:
● Parasoy™ Professional Melt Wax
● Weighing Scales
● Pouring Jug
● Thermometer
● Clamshell Mould
● Fragrance Oil (if using)
● Pan
● Hob/Hot Plate/Double Boiler
- Melting your wax
Weigh the correct amount of wax for your container. For our mould we have weighed 60g of wax. Place your wax into either a double boiler or in a bowl over a pan filled with water. Place your pan on a hob or hotplate and heat until your wax is around 80C, but make sure not to exceed it. Once melted transfer the wax to your pouring jug. - Adding Fragrance
Add your fragrance oil to the wax. A good starting point is a 6% fragrance oil to wax ratio, although feel free to experiment with more. Give it a stir, you can also add any dyes you want at this stage. - Pouring your mixture
We recommend pouring your wax at 75C. Gently pour the wax into your mould making sure that you do not create any air bubbles.
- Curing your wax melt
Leave your wax melts for up to 1-2 weeks to cool and cure at room temperature for optimal scent throw.
We recommend conducting your own experiments when it comes to the amount of fragrance and dye you add, and the temperatures you melt and pour your wax.
We’d love to see your work!
