For all things candle and home fragrance making!
Scent By Inspire
For our next customer story, we get to hear from Cheryl Miller and her daughter, owners of Scent By Inspire. They may only be new to the candle making community, but their drive and passion for the crafty nature of candle making completely shines through.
Starting Scent By Inspire from home during the lockdown, we got to know exactly why Cheryl and her young daughter got into candle making. Cheryl’s daughter struggles with her anxiety and getting into candle making together helps them through, as well as giving them that extra time together. As a mum to three more little ones and a puppy it’s not always easy, but seeing their followers increasing day by day just gets them excited!
When asked about getting into candle making Cheryl and her daughter didn’t know how much of an addiction it would become! With so many amazing scents, colours, moulds, glitters and micas to explore, the list really was endless. Alongside the exciting products, they both enjoy getting stuck into exploring the excitement of designing, creating and admiring their creations. Each and every one of us has our own creativity, but who knew there were so many creations to be made with wax! Cheryl and her daughter absolutely love creating candles together and they find it really therapeutic. So whether their little venture remains their hobby or whether it becomes as successful as they strive for it to be, at the end of the day they both absolutely love it. Their passion for the craft and spending time together making creative candles really shows between this lovely candle making duo.
When asked about where Cheryl and her daughter get their inspiration from, they said how they admire all of the other fantastic candle makers out there, the two of them aspire to be like so many of the other brands and small businesses out there! When it comes to the inspiration for their candles and wax melts, Cheryl and her daughter choose what they work with very carefully, they “aim to bring the best of the best!”
When we asked Cheryl and her daughter what advice they would give for those hoping to build their own candle business they said; “Enjoy and have fun with it all, take it day by day, just like us and keep at it! It will bring good things.”
