Although these have remained popular in the industry for a long time, we’ve recently seen an increase in the popularity of slab waxes! Let’s take a look at the ways in which slab waxes are revolutionising the way we make candles and wax melts!

Storage

One of the aspects that is most important to chandlers is storage and space. If you don’t have your own premises and work from home, often, finding storage solutions is top priority. The great thing about slab wax is that they have a reduced surface area which means that they take up a lot less space! Easy to stack and store, slab waxes are becoming popular due to their durable and manageable nature!

Measuring

Although measuring out flaked and pellet waxes isn’t hard, slab waxes offer a whole other benefit, measuring with the eye. It can be hard to tell from a bag of flakes or pellet wax exactly how much you have left without weighing it out, but not so much with slab. You can also cut your slab wax to whatever size you desire if you want your wax to melt slowly while you prepare you glasses and labels per se, using big chunks of wax with a reduced surface area will melt slowly while you work. If you want instant melting, chop your wax smaller to suit your needs!
