In order to use our candle making kits you will require the following:

• A cooker or heat source to melt the wax

• A container to melt the wax in such as a double boiler or a pan inside a pan

• A pouring jug

• A utensil to stir the wax with

• A thermometer

What is the best temperature for melting candle wax?

Making candles at the right temperature is a key factor in achieving good results. Generally speaking, you should melt your wax to temperatures between 70-80°C depending on the type of wax you are using. Always check the instructions on your wax as each type may require different melting points and this can impact how effective it is for candle making.

What is the best environment for making candles?

When deciding on the best environment for making candles, there are a few considerations to keep in mind. First, there must be an adequate workspace that is well-ventilated with good lighting and access to electricity. This space should also have plenty of counter space or a large table for all necessary supplies such as wax, moulds, wicks, colours and fragrance oils. Additionally, ensure that appropriate safety measures are employed such as wearing goggles and gloves while handling hot wax. Furthermore, having an area dedicated specifically to candle making will help you stay organised while crafting your creations.

Temperature is another important factor when crafting candles as working with too low of temperatures can cause incomplete wax melting while high temperatures can create air bubbles within the final product which may lead to weak candles with poor burning qualities; the ideal room temperature range lies between 15°C–27°C.
