How To Make Spring Flower Reed Diffusers
As the vibrant hues of spring bloom around us, what better way to welcome the season of renewal than by infusing our homes with the delightful scents of spring flowers? With DIY flower reed diffusers, you can bring the essence of spring indoors, creating a fragrant oasis that uplifts the spirit and revitalises the senses. In this blog post, we'll guide you through the simple steps of making your spring-inspired diffusers using reed sticks, along with answers to three frequently asked questions to ensure your crafting experience is smooth and enjoyable.
How Long Will My Flower Reed Diffuser Last?
The longevity of your flower reed diffuser depends on several factors, including the size of your container, the number of reed sticks used, and the potency of the fragrance oil. On average, a DIY diffuser can last anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks. To extend its lifespan, ensure the container is placed away from direct sunlight and heat sources, and flip the reed sticks regularly to refresh the scent.
Can I Customise the Fragrance of My Flower Reed Diffuser?
Absolutely! One of the joys of making your own reed diffusers is the ability to customize the fragrance to suit your preferences. Experiment with different combinations of spring flower scents, or mix in complementary aromas such as citrus or herbal notes to create a unique fragrance blend that reflects your personal style.
Equipment Needed For Spring Flower Reed Diffusers:
- Lavender & Chamomile Fragrance Oil
- Jug
- Pipette
- Diffuser Bottle
- Natural Diffuser Base
- Flower Diffuser Reeds
- Reed Diffuser Cap with Bungs
1. Measure your fragrance oil and diffuser base:Using your pipette and a measuring jug, we advise using between 10% to 25% fragrance oil depending on the IFRA. Therefore for a litre of reed diffuser base, we suggest to add 150 - 250 ml of fragrance or essential oil.
2. Fill your reed diffuser:Gently pour in your fragrance oil and diffuser base into your chosen diffuser glass .
3. Add your cap: Screw on your chosen cap if using straight away. If you're selling to customers, place your bung back into your bottle before placing the cap on.
4. Add your flower reed: Your scented reed diffuser mixture will saturate the string of your flower diffuser allowing your scent to bloom throughout the room!
Enjoy!
Place your diffuser in your favourite room and enjoy! A 100ml diffuser oil should last for approximately 3-4 months, but ultimately this will depend on the temperature of your home as there are many factors that contribute to how long reed diffusers last.
