Vegetable Wax for Wax Melts

Vegetable wax is a type of wax that is made by hydrogenating vegetable oil such as soya bean oil and rapeseed oil.

Hydrogenation is a process where the oil which was once a liquid at room temperature is processed to make them solid at room temperature, changing it into a wax. By changing the oils melt point, it allows the wax to melt at the ideal temperature to be used for Wax Melt Making.

Vegetable waxes can outperform mineral waxes in many ways such as better fragrance loading along with a cleaner & longer burn.

A lot of crafters choose vegetable waxes based upon the fact that the material is classed as being a renewable source, therefore having a better impact on the environment.
